The idea for the store came from our daughter Daria continuously getting asked to formal dances and prom, starting in her freshman year of high school (and right through to her freshman year of college). We had nothing nearby and driving an hour every time she needed a gown proved the need was apparent. However, prom is seasonal and we wanted a year-round business so we decided on bridal, tuxedo, and prom. We opened in January 2013, separated the prom store from the bridal store in 2015, and it has been an amazing ride so far. Far more fulfilling than we expected both personally and professionally.
What sets us apart from other bridal salons is that Darianna Bridal & Tuxedo is a part of our family life. It is named after our two girls and we run our business with love, integrity, and gratitude. Our employees are part of our family demonstrating the same desire to take care of all our customers. We are no-pressure, friendly, and fun and those qualities add so much to the joy of the occasion because customers immediately feel at home and welcome. A wedding is a blending of families and it is an honor for us to be involved.
As a family-owned business, we are very aware of the wonderful effects of shopping local and giving back. We have a number of employees under the age of 21 who are gaining valuable experience not only in bridal and retail, but also thriving in the role they each play in the hearts of our customers. It isn’t just “sales” with us. We donate to our local school’s music and theater programs, sponsor athletic teams, and participate in local fundraisers. Our partnerships include Wish Upon A Wedding which grants weddings to the terminally ill, St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, and Angel Gowns of Doylestown that turns our donated dresses into beautiful bereavement gowns for infants.
We are proud to be a full-service store offering wedding gowns, veils and accessories, tuxedo and suits for rent and purchase, bridesmaids dresses, and mothers gowns. We have our own seamstress and offer gown preservation services as well.
Our best advice to brides is to keep an open mind. It is your wedding and you do have the final say, but please consider if offered a suggestion. We’ve been through lots of weddings, seen and heard what works (and what doesn’t), and we truly have your best interest at heart. We want your day to be as magical as you do!
