Marloes van Haagen started De Bruidshoek with her mother, Will Alkemade, in Leiden and now Marloes runs the store with her loving husband, Robert Jan van Haagen. From the beginning their mind was set on developing a strong bridal business. Their success has come from stocking the best international brands, creating a relaxing atmosphere, and providing incredible customer service to their brides. The staff at De Bruidshoek go through an extensive training program in order to be prepared for all and any bridal need.
When it comes to finding the perfect dress Robert Jan van Haagen believes brides should communicate openly about their doubts, concerns, and fears with their bridal consultant. Just like any relationship, you won't get very far without open communication! Bridal shop consultants are there to help you throughout the entire process so make them your BFF during the process!
Robert's favorite Justin Alexander wedding dress is style 8681 and he calls it the miracle dress. “It makes you look 10kg slimmer and 15 cm longer.” The secret is the criss cross pleated waist that creates an optical illusion of a narrower waist.
