Country Chic Wedding Ideas

We've seen an increase of backyard and country chic weddings just this past month, especially amongst celebrities! The most recent backyard weddings have been by Matthew McConaughey, Drew Barrymore, and Mark Zuckerberg.

This outdoor wedding style is for a more relaxed couple that doesn't mind getting some mud on their shoes. Even though it is outside, no item is overlooked. If anything it feels that there is more careful consideration of rustic, sentimental, and DIY decorations in order to capture the Country Chic look. Here are great country chic wedding ideas:

Dress

8465 is perfect for a backyard or country wedding because since it is tea length it won't get ruined by dirt, grass or mud! The Venice lace and beading adds that special touch of flirtiness and quirk a country bride needs.

Flowers

Country chic flower arrangements are all about muted colors like white, greens, pale pinks and yellows. Since you will already be in the outdoors, let the area frame the decor for your celebration and just add touches of color with the centerpieces. You can get away with almost everything from roses to daisies; just remember to keep it simple and romantic.

Location

The perfect location is a large field, backyard, or barn. Create an outdoors scene with lanterns, tea lights, and lots of handmade decorations.

Party favors

Let's not forget about the favorite item for country chic brides, the mason jar! Mason jars are all the rage in the DIY community! They are multi-use and there are countless ways to decorate them. Give your guests mason jar take home desserts and just add a tag or ribbon to package it up. It's a great gift because they'll enjoy the savory dessert and they'll be able to reuse the jar in their home.
