There is nothing like a mothers love. And there is no time you need her the most than when planning your big day. Shes there every step of the way, from helping you say yes to your dream dress to picking out the table linens. She is there to offer her wisdom and support. And for that and so much more we love moms! Our special #JAbrides shared their most special mother-daughter moments:
My mom has been my biggest supporter all my life, and on my wedding day she was there the whole day to make sure everything was perfect. I was able to wear the same veil she wore 32 years before at her own wedding; it was extremely special to have something of hers incorporated in my wedding.
On our wedding day I wanted to do a little something to make my mother stand out on our wedding day, so with the extra material I had from the belt on my dress I added it to her corsage. It was just a little something extra to make her and I feel connected on one of the biggest and best days of my life.
She has always been so supportive and made this day even more special. I couldn't have done it without her! I'm lucky to be able to call her not only my mother, but my best friend.
I loved having my mom there with me at the bridal boutique to see me try on dresses for the first time. It meant so much to have her opinion while shopping, as I wanted her reassurance that the dress I picked was truly "me" and represented my style.
I was the first child to get married, and even 7 months after our wedding, I still don't think my parents get the "wedding party trend." However, my mom supported me through every decision I made along the way, and was right by my side with loving and caring words whenever I doubted a decision. She was especially helpful with dress shopping and helping me choose a beautiful and unique gown that made me feel special on my wedding day.
I cannot put into words how grateful I am that my mom was such an important part of my wedding planning - from helping with all the details, to never missing a bridal appointment, to listening to me when I was frustrated, and most importantly, for making sure I knew she thought I would be the most beautiful bride and that I deserve all the happiness and love the world has to offer. To show my mom just how special she is to me, I wrapped my bouquet with a sleeve of her wedding dress.
My mom is my best friend and has always supported me. Throughout the wedding planning process she was extremely generous with her time, care, and support. She helped me visit venues, pick out my dress, hosted my bridal shower, bachelorette party, and the reception. She also took care of any small problems the day of so I was able to have my dream wedding. I'm so thankful for my mom.
It was a special dress shopping experience with, just the two of us and she pulled the perfect dress! As the only daughter it was a special experience to plan the wedding with my mom. She was with me all morning the day of my wedding getting ready right along side me and I would not trade that for anything! She was part of all the excitement and helped keep me calm at the same time. I am truly blessed to have my mom so involved.
I would never have married if my mother could not have been present. She and my father made my day complete.
