While working in an antique shop in the late 1980's, Caroline Berend would answer phone calls for the wedding florist who also operated out of the same space. Many brides-to-be would call the shop to see if they knew of a place that sold wedding attire. The requests for bridal gowns kept coming in so the florist suggested to Caroline that she should open a bridal store upstairs since the space was empty. In 1990, without any knowledge of the bridal business she took out a loan, went to market, and opened what is now the Bridal Boutique in Old Town Lewisville.
For 23 years the Bridal Boutique has not only been dressing beautiful brides in the Dallas and Fort Worth area, but all over the South as well. Caroline has expanded her modest 1,200-square-foot store into a sprawling 8,000-square-foot haven of bridal bliss. The newly renovated boutique is quaintly situated in the historic Masonic Temple and combines a unique small-town atmosphere with an exceptional selection of wedding gowns from all over the world. With over 700 dresses to choose from, it is impossible not to find the one at the Bridal Boutique. While their inventory truly speaks for itself, their amazing consultants are what really make this place phenomenal.
Caroline, along with her two daughters Carrie and Amy, and a team of 15 “wedding whisperers” create an unbelievable experience for their brides by taking care of the bride's every need. From top to bottom the Bridal Boutique's consultants help brides pair their dream dress with an extensive collection of accessories.
The Bridal Boutique in Lewisville is truly a hidden gem. We are 23 years of proof that there is no need to travel to the big city to find an amazing gown. Family, tradition, and service are what our beautiful brides appreciate most and we are so grateful for such wonderful customers.
Advice from the Owner
Caroline Berend put together four important bridal tips for our Justin Alexander fans:
1. Only bring the most important people with you when shopping for a wedding dress. More than three or four people can really cloud your judgment and can offer too many differing opinions.
2. Don't buy online! We have so many brides that think they are getting a great deal online and end up in our store scrambling to buy a second dress because their great online deal was a disaster.
3. Trust your sales associate. They have knowledge of the inventory and will know what style will look best on you.
4. Enjoy the dress buying process because it is a fun time and should be exciting. Don't let little things ruin a wonderful experience.
Bridal Boutique Lewisville's favorite Justin Alexander wedding dress is 9721 from the Signature collection. “The Venice lace is incredibly rich and makes a bold statement. We love the jacket that goes with the gown in order to give the dress two distinct looks.“
